* [Our Mobile Notary Travel Policy]: At Notary by Jesse LLC, prioritizing the safety of our staff and clients is our top concern. Therefore, we’ve implemented a weather-based policy for mobile notary services in the event of extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
What this means for you, our customer:
- Scheduling Appointments: Before scheduling an appointment, our staff will check the local weather forecast to ensure safe travel conditions.
- Hazardous Weather Fee: If weather conditions are challenging but manageable, we may offer service with an additional non-refundable “Hazardous Weather Fee.”
- Appointment Cancellations: In the event of severe weather that makes travel unsafe, we will be unable to schedule appointments for that time.
- Existing Appointment Cancellations: If we need to cancel an existing appointment due to weather, you will receive a full refund for any partial payment made.
- Extreme Temperatures: We may need to cancel or reschedule appointments during periods of extreme hot or cold temperatures to prioritize safety.
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse, cancel, change, and/or modify any notarization appointment.
** city, not county.

Frequently Asked Questions
A notary public is basically an official witness for important documents. We act as a neutral third party to make sure that everything is on the up and up. Here’s how it works:
- You have a crucial document, like a will or a power of attorney (giving someone permission to handle your affairs).
- When you come to see us, we’ll ask you to show your ID for verification purposes.
- Next, we’ll verify that you understand the document and that you’re signing it willingly.
- Finally, after you have signed the document, we will stamp the document with our official seal, proving we witnessed the signing.
This adds an extra layer of security to the document, making it harder for someone to forge it or claim you signed it under pressure. Think of us as a guardian against document-related shenanigans!
02 What’s the difference between using a regular notary public and a mobile notary service?
Skip the trip! Notary by Jesse LLC offers a mobile service. This means, we come to you, whether it’s your home, office, or even a coffee shop. For ultimate convenience, we now offer remote online notarization, which means we can provide notary services from the comfort of your own home.
03 What forms of payment do you accept?
To reserve your mobile notary appointment, we require an initial travel fee deposit. You can conveniently pay this deposit by credit/debit card through our two secure payment options. After the travel deposit, you’ll only owe the $5 per notarization. You can choose to pay this fee at the time of service or upfront with the deposit. If you choose to pay this fee at the time of service, you have the option to pay by cash or card. For Remote Online Notarization services: We’ll send you an electronic invoice for the entire notarization session, before the appointment. You will have the option to pay the invoice by debit card, credit card, Apple or Google Pay. Note: All payments are processed in USD.

Hi there, I’m Jesse!
Originally from the Minneapolis area, I traded the bustling city life for the charm of North Dakota about 10 years ago. My journey began in Wahpeton, where I attended NDSCS, and eventually led me to Fargo, my current home. Outside of work, I cherish spending quality time with loved ones, exploring new culinary delights, and satisfying my travel bug. But my passion for helping people and ensuring accuracy extends far beyond the founding of Notary by Jesse LLC in 2020.
Previous roles honed my skills in verifying IDs and ensuring proper procedures were followed. When the pandemic struck, I saw it as an opportunity for a career change focused on helping my community. Already valuing flexibility from past experiences, I recognized the need for convenient document notarization. Becoming a mobile notary perfectly combined these elements. Driven by this discovery, I obtained the necessary certifications and received my commission from both North Dakota (October 2020) and Minnesota shortly after. This marked the official launch of Notary by Jesse LLC.
